My final month working at The Quattro Firm has allowed me to reflect on my time here and how it has prepared me for the future. Through learning to conduct legal research and the ability to try drafting legal documents, I now have the confidence and skills to continue on in this competitive field. While I interned here, I have learned so much about the actual day-to-day tasks and responsibilities that come with the job of an attorney. This month I had the exciting opportunity to assist the Quattro Firm in trial preparation. Unlike the portrayal in tv shows and movies, trial prep involves more work than simply reviewing paperwork. I learned that an essential part of trial prep is to prepare a trial folder consisting of all relevant legal documents including past pleadings, communication, and research done for the case. I also learned that a hearing is more than just waiting for the judge to make a ruling, but also a good attorney should also prepare negotiation documents in order to zealously advocate for their clients. In May, I began my internship at the Quattro Firm with founding partner Nicole Quattrocchi. I was eager to begin learning about being a lawyer as I hope to become one some day. In my first few weeks, I have spent a lot of time filing pleadings, correspondence and the like as well as accompanying Nicole to client consultations. I have also gotten to learn about the different type of documents and pleadings involved in civil cases.
